Advisory: SAPD investigating loud explosion at 1075 E. 17th Street

On Wednesday 9/4/13 at 08:59 a.m. Officers responded to the report of an explosion at Orchard Supply Hardware located at 1975 E. 17th Street.

According to witnesses, an explosion was heard near the exit doors to the store. Officers arrived and located what appeared to be remnants of an exploded pipe bomb near the exit doors.

Officers have evacuated the area and are holding the scene for the responding OCSO bomb squad investigators. No injuries have been reported.
