The Orange County Labor Federation is hosting a Candidate’s Academy, on June 23, from 4:30 pm to 8 pm, at UFCW 324, located at 8530 Stanton Ave., in Buena Park.

Candidates must attend this forum in order to be considered for an endorsement.

Topics will include:

  • Contracting out and its effects on the local economy
  • The changing demographics in Orange County
  • Built right the first time: Local Hire, Prevailing Wage, Apprenticeship, and Responsible Bidder
  • Big Box Retailers: What do they bring with them?
  • Why a living wage?
  • Affordable Housing
