Joel Molinas, a 32-year-old man, was charged on Wednesday with abusing his 2-month-old son in Santa Ana.
Molina is facing four felony counts of child abuse and endangerment with sentencing enhancements for causing great bodily injury on a child younger than 5, according to KNX News.
Molinas allegedly abused the baby on Jan. 1 and Dec. 1, according to the prosecutor.
The injured baby was taken to Children’s Hospital Orange County with injuries, leading the SAPD to arrest the father.
Authorities have not yet divulged details as to Molina’s motive or other factors involved in this case.
