Advisory: SAPD Patrol Officers Arrest Cat Burglary Suspect

Suspect: Sergio Gitano Valencia (32) Santa Ana

Summary: On 6-29-2017, at approximately 7:00 a.m., the victim of a burglary called SAPD to report his residence located in the 800 block of South Main had been burglarized and the possible suspect was still in his neighborhood a couple houses away (with the stolen property).

Officers responded to the crime scene and the suspect was ultimately caught and arrested. The officers learned from their investigation that the suspect had entered the victim’s residence and for approximately an hour burglarized the house while the victims were sleeping.

The stolen property was recovered and the suspect, Sergio Gitano Valencia, was booked into the Santa Ana PD Jail for Residential Burglary.
