The SAPD is asking for help with identifying two suspects who committed an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven store located at 1442 W. MacArthur Blvd.

  • Suspect #1: Male adult, heavyset, bearded, pierced ears, wearing prescription glasses, a black Adidas jacket, black/white Converse shoes, and a Nike crossbody bag. Armed with a silver/black handgun
  • Suspect #2: Male adult, wearing all black clothing.

The suspects were captured on video surveillance entering the store separately. S#1 approached the store clerk/victim, who was standing near the back of the business, brandished a firearm, and demanded all the money from the registers.

Fearing for his life, the victim walked to the registers and opened them. S #1 then took all the cash and fled the scene. Meanwhile, S #2 acted in coordination with S #1 and stole a large amount of food items.

Anyone with information on these suspects is asked to contact Detective S. Park at (714)245- 8360 or SPark@santa-ana.org.

Here’s a summary of the potential penalties for the two suspects involved in the armed robbery at the 7-Eleven store on 1442 W. MacArthur Blvd:

Suspect #1 (armed with a handgun):

  • Charged with second-degree robbery, a felony in California.
  • Faces 2 to 5 years in state prison for the robbery itself.
  • Because a firearm was used, an additional 10 years may be added under California’s firearm enhancement laws.
  • Robbery is considered a violent felony, which counts as a “strike” under California’s Three Strikes Law.
  • If this is a second or third strike, the sentence could be significantly longer, up to 25 years to life.

Suspect #2 (acted in coordination, stole food items):

  • Can be charged with the same robbery offense under aiding and abetting laws, even without using a weapon.
  • Faces 2 to 5 years in prison, and possibly more if enhancements apply.
  • Also subject to the Three Strikes Law if applicable.
