Advisory: Santa Ana PD Traffic Investigators Request Public Assistance In Identifying Van In Felony Hit And Run Collision

On Thursday, June 7, 2018 at approx. 2:13 pm, a female was crossing the street, in the sidewalk, south on Orange Ave. at McFadden Avenue. As the woman approached the south side of the intersection, a white van travelling east on McFadden struck the female pedestrian as the driver made a right onto Orange.

The collision knocked the female to the ground, which resulted in moderate injuries that required hospitalization.

The driver did not stop as required by law or to render aid and fled the scene south on Orange. Several vehicles tried to follow the suspect but he began running stops signs and eluded the citizen witnesses.

The suspect vehicle is described as a possible 2017/18 Ford Transit Van that was driven by a male with a beard and wearing a hat, NFD.
