On Thursday, December 1, 2011, around 6:45PM, Santa Ana PD officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East Chestnut Street for a female down on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.

Paramedics performed life-saving measures and Brenda Romero was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately Brenda succumbed to her injuries a day later.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Homicide Detective Gibbons at (714) 245-8390.

We encourage anyone with information to come forward and help bring closure to Brenda Romero’s family and friends
