  1. It’s good to see our elected officials HARD at work, while gun violence is sweeping central city! I wonder who pays for this stuff?

Just saw this great post at the VOC:

In case you can’t find it:

Just a quick note from the National Association of Elected Latino’s in Chicago:

Pablo and Michele are having a GREAT time whopping it up on this Junket. PDB said, the best part is, with Emily and this kids out of his hair (what great hair), he doesn’t even miss them, who thought separation would be so great!

    Conference Highlights:

    * Michele loved the breakout session: PRETENDING YOU HAVE A JOB (WHILE COLLECTING UNEMPLOYEMENT) FOR LATINA’S. This informative session featured tips on posting FB pictures to make it appear you were busy: Sprinkle in some food shot’s too! the presenter suggested.

    * Martinez also participated in the Elected and 200#! (AKA Porky Politico’s), there were some neat tips on getting free meals on the taxpayers including: “Order two entree’s, take one home, when someone else is paying the bill!”

Perhaps more interesting was what Councilmember Benavides learned on this “junket”:

*DAMAGE CONTROL: Crisis Management For The Married Latino”:
Amazing guest speakers like Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villigrossa who gave a shout out to PBD, he bragged about banging TV reporters TWO at a time, while his wife was at home and STILL REMAINING MAYOR! Standing Ovation. Former Councilmember Carlos Bustamonte was featured in a sub-segment
” Wh0re-mongering: How not to get arrested”. The highlight had to be from TWO video presentations from prominent Californians who are NOT Latino, but struggled with marital crisis’: Gavin Newsome, talked about the “Rehab” recovery, and Governor Schwartzneeger, gave an impassioned speech about family values for the philandering husband: “You can still be a Good Father, Leader and Man, while sleeping with the maid (Secretary, Aide, intern or streetwalker) he explained.

I didn’t see Roman Reyna there, he would have loved former California Assembly Speaker’s speech on How to use your position and political favors to get a family member off a murder rap. It was heart felt and insightful.

Maybe next year Roman will be working and have enough for a Greyhound Ticket to the conference.
