(July 12, 2019) – The Santa Ana Unified School District is issuing the following press release on behalf of Stefanie P. Phillips, Ed.D. Superintendent of Schools, and Anastasia Smith, Chief of Police, Santa Ana School Police Department:

The Federal Government has announced that beginning Sunday, July 14, 2019, they will be conducting immigration raids across the country.
The Santa Ana School Police Department will not be participating in these raids and will not be cooperating with federal immigration authorities on any enforcement measures.

The Santa Ana School Police Department is committed to protecting the public through meaningful relationships and community partnerships. The Santa Ana Unified School District continues to be committed to providing a safe and welcoming learning environment for all members of our community.

El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa Ana está emitiendo el comunicado de prensa siguiente en nombre de la Dra. Stefanie P. Phillips, Superintendente de Escuelas, y Anastasia Smith, Jefa del Departamento de Policía Escolar de Santa Ana:

El Gobierno Federal ha anunciado que a partir del domingo 14 de julio del 2019, estarán realizando redadas de inmigración por todo el país.

El Departamento de Policía Escolar de Santa Ana no participará en estas redadas y no cooperará con las autoridades federales de inmigración en ninguna medida de cumplimiento. El Departamento de Policía Escolar de Santa Ana tiene el compromiso de proteger al público mediante relaciones significativas y alianzas comunitarias.

El Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa Ana continúa con su compromiso de brindar un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro y acogedor para todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad.
