On Tuesday, June 4, officers arrested several suspects tied to an organized theft group responsible for numerous thefts in Huntington Beach, according to the HBPD.

Suspects are believed to have made use of distraction techniques to steal wallets and/or credit cards from unsuspecting customers within HB retail stores and businesses.

The stolen credit cards were then used to make unauthorized purchases before the victim was aware they were missing.

In distraction theft, thieves work together to distract the victim while another steals their property. This is a reminder to ALWAYS keep your belongings close to you and never allow yourself to become too distracted to watch them.
