Over $270,000 has been raised for the family of Eric Williams, a cyclist who was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Huntington Beach, via a GoFundMe page.

The hit and run driver accused of killing Williams, Amber Kristine Calderon, is now facing felony charges.

Williams was a pastor and a father of four.

The GoFund Me page states:

“Eric was a Godly man with a heart for Jesus and for people. He spent his life serving others — first as a youth and teaching pastor at Seaside Community Church, and later as the founder of Community Church of West Garden Grove. He was kind, funny, and steady in his faith, always lifting others up.”

He and Robyn had just celebrated 20 years of marriage. Their children — Julia (high school freshman), Jeanette (6th grade), Alice (4th grade), and little James (3 years old) — were his greatest joy.

All funds raised will go toward immediate expenses and helping set Robyn and the children up for the future.

Williams spoke at Fullerton Bike’s Monday night ride-Bike n Bible on September 29. He spoke about the problem of evil when bad things happen to good people.

Members of the Garden Grove community are coming together this Friday evening to honor the life and legacy of Pastor Eric Williams with a candlelight vigil at Eastgate Park.

The event, organized by the Garden Grove Neighborhood Association (GGNA) and local residents, will take place on Friday, October 24, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Eastgate Park, located at 12001 St. Mark Street, Garden Grove, CA 92845.

The vigil is described as a solemn moment of reflection and prayer for Pastor Eric, his family, and the community he served and loved. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own candles, though candles will also be provided at the event.

Pastor Eric Williams was known for his warmth, leadership, and dedication to bringing people together. His passing has deeply affected many in the Garden Grove area, prompting this public gathering to celebrate his impact and offer collective support.

Community members interested in helping with the planning or volunteering at the event are invited to contact the organizers at 714-235-5360
