Four days ago, police officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred. The victim reported that he was selling a gold chain on an online marketplace and met with the suspects in front of his residence, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.

When the suspects arrived at the victim’s residence in a red truck, they immediately pulled a gun on him and forcefully grabbed the chain from him before fleeing.

Police officers located the truck and conducted a felony stop on Newport Boulevard. The two suspects, both from Riverside, were taken into custody without incident.

The chain was recovered and returned to the victim.

During a search of the truck, officers located a loaded 9mm handgun, over a hundred rounds of 9mm, approximately 12 grams of fentanyl and a scale.

Excellent work by the victim for quickly reporting and the responding officers!
