One of our readers reported that there were quite a few police officers at Santa Ana High School this morning. Now we know what happened.

The Santa Ana High School Principal sent a letter to parents explaining that a non-student had approached a student at 8 a.m. this morning, near Walnut and Flower. Then things quickly went south!

The non-student got into a physical altercation with the student. This prompted an immediate response from Santa Ana High School Safety Officers.

The officers were able to apprehend the non-student. They then found that he had a weapon. He was placed under arrest and then transported to the city jail.

The SAHS student sustained minor abrasions as a result of the physical altercation. The student was given medical attention and his family was notified.

Bishop asserted in his letter that at no time was the non-student able to access the SAHS campus.
