A shoplifter assaulted a Stater Bros. employee in Santa Ana and fled on a bike

On August 26th, a woman entered the Stater Bros. located at 2630 W. Edinger Ave. and concealed items in her bag, according to the SAPD.

When confronted by the assistant manager at the exit, she physically assaulted him in an attempt to flee. Some of the stolen items were recovered during the struggle, but the suspect managed to escape on a mountain bike.

  • Suspect description: Female adult, wearing black clothing, a black hat, jewelry, and carrying a large, black purse.
  • Bike description: black mountain bike with large white lettering on the lower frame area
