On Friday, May 19, 2023, at 3:55 PM, Westminster police officers responded to a report of a traffic collision in the 15100 block of Brookhurst Street in the City of Westminster.

Once on scene, the officers discovered a motorcyclist had collided with a passenger vehicle. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Orange County Fire Authority.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to have played a role in the cause of the accident.

The Westminster Police Department Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the accident. Callers may remain anonymous.
