On May 4, 2024, at 6:57 PM, police officers, along with the Fullerton Fire Department, responded to Laguna Lake regarding a possible drowning, according to the the Fullerton Police Department.

Upon arrival, Police and Fire personnel were notified that an adult male entered the lake, attempted to swim across, and was not seen exiting.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department Underwater Search and Recovery Team (Dive Team) was requested to assist in locating the male in the lake.

The Orange County Sherriff’s Department Underwater Search and Recovery Team located and recovered the male, who was pronounced deceased on the scene.

No foul play is suspected.

The deceased male’s identity will be released later by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.

Laguna Lake and the surrounding area is a great place for outdoor activities such as bike riding, hiking, and fishing, however swimming is prohibited for everyone’s safety.

Laguna Lake is located at 3120 Lakeview Dr., Fullerton, CA.
