On March 2nd, 2025, at approximately 6:20 P.M., the Garden Grove Police Department responded to an injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Chapman Avenue near Euclid St.
Officers responded to the collision scene and contacted the driver and located an unresponsive pedestrian.
Personnel from the Orange County Fire Authority responded and assessed the pedestrian’s injuries. The pedestrian was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.

The pedestrian’s identifying information is withheld at this time, pending notifications to next of kin. The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol and/or drugs are NOT believed to be a factor in the collision.
The Garden Grove Police Department’s Neighborhood Traffic Unit responded and took over the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
