Advisory: The City of Santa Ana Begins to Take Next Steps for Implementing Measures X, Y, Z and AA

SANTA ANA, CA – The City of Santa Ana would like to thank the Santa Ana community for the passage of four very important local ballot measures: X, Y, Z and AA this past election. With the continued leadership from our City Council, staff will work to deliver on the commitments made to the community, and enhance the delivery of effective public programs and services.

“When voters approved Measures X and Y, they acknowledged that there is a great unmet need and have signaled their trust in their local government to appropriate taxpayer dollars wisely to fund City services and programs. And when voters approved Measures Z and AA, they voiced their support of updating how the City governs itself,” said Councilmember Juan Villegas. “Everyone here at the City will do their best to implement these measures to make a positive impact on our residents, our businesses and our community.”

Committed to transparency, City staff presented the anticipated next steps and important information toward implementation of all four measures at the City Council meeting on December 4, 2018. A comprehensive analysis and plan is being formulated to execute the voter-approved ballot measures. City staff will continue to provide ongoing informational updates to the City Council, residents, and local businesses.
