An unidentified man in his early 20s was shot and wounded Wednesday night in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.

The shooting happened in the area of W. First St. and N. Harbor Blvd., at about 8:20 p.m., according to the SAPD.

The responding police officers were directed to an area away from that intersection, after receiving calls of shots fired.

The shooting victim arrived later at a hospital and the SAPD was called, which is the protocol when gunshot victims show up at hospitals.

The victim has been determined to be in stable condition.

The SAPD investigators are focusing on a 7-Eleven parking lot as bullet casings were found there. That 7-Eleven store is located just north of Santa Anita Park.
