On Monday, March 20 at about 7:30 p.m., SAPD police officers were dispatched to 627 E. Pine Street reference calls of a shooting and multiple shots being heard. When police officers arrived they found a male suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. A witness reported seeing the suspect(s) flee in a vehicle, according to SAPD Case # 17-07497.

This shooting happened just northwest of Roosevelt Elementary School. in Santa Ana’s Ward 2, which is represented by Mayor Pro Tem Michele Martinez.

On Tuesday, March 21 at about 5:00 a.m., a male juvenile reported being shot at by suspects in a vehicle in the area of 100 North Jackson. The victim was not hit, according to SAPD Case # 17-07523.

This shooting happened northeast of Santa Anita Park in Santa Ana’s Ward 6, which is represented by Councilman Sal Tinajero.
