Last week, three people were arrested after they used fraudulent Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards to purchase 64 containers of baby formula, according to the Irvine Police Department.

Baby formula is typically sold on the secondary market for cash. During the investigation, the police detectives located additional fraudulent cards and panhandling signs inside the suspect vehicle.

The suspects were three women from Anaheim. They were arrested and were then booked at the Orange County Jail for multiple charges, including burglary, grand theft, and use of another person’s identification information.
