A few weeks ago, the GGPD’s Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) received information regarding drug sales and ghost gun manufacturing at two residences on the 9500 block of Katella Ave., according to the Garden Grove Police Department.

During the investigation, police detectives were able to identify two subjects, Ann Marie Maya (40-years-old, of Garden Grove) and Jason Copeland (29-years-old, of Garden Grove) as possible suspects. Both of whom were also wanted for narcotics and weapons charges.

Yesterday, April 25, 2024, with the assistance of the Community Impact Unit (CIU), CAP Detectives, Special Investigations Unit (SIU), and Traffic Unit, GSU served a search warrant at the residences.

A total of 14 people were detained, including Copeland and Maya.

During the search, 3 ghost guns, 1 shotgun, 6 polymer 80 lowers, high capacity magazines, 2 (3D) printers, a stolen motorcycle, over 19 ounces of various narcotics, and $7000+ in cash were seized.
