Over the weekend, Tustin police officers responded to a hit and run traffic collision.

During their investigation, the officers suspected their person of interest in the collision was also involved in selling drugs on Tustin city streets.

The police officers obtained a search warrant and hit a jackpot when they searched the suspect’s home.

Approximately 77 pounds of drugs including fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA, Adderall, Xanax, cocaine, mushrooms, Oxycodone, an unserialized rifle, ammunition, and 5,400 pills of Aprazolam were recovered and will never have the chance to hit city streets.

Bravo to these police officers who went above and beyond and turned a traffic collision investigation into a major drug bust!

There truly is no such thing as a routine day in law enforcement.
