On Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at 12:48 AM, SAPD Officers responded to reports of a man down in a parking lot located at 1535 South Standard Avenue. Officers located an adult male down in the parking lot suffering possible gunshot wounds. No known witnesses have come forward to provide details of the shooting.

Orange County Fire Authority paramedics responded and attempted life-saving measures but were unsuccessful. Paramedics declared the man deceased at 1:00 AM. The Orange County Coroner’s Office is working to identify the man and determine the manner and cause of death.
