The SAPD is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident at Bristol St. and Hemlock Way

SANTA ANA, CA (July 26, 2024) – A 23-year-old man died in a fatal traffic collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
 
On Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 6:01 a.m., the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls regarding a traffic collision at the intersection of Bristol Street and Hemlock Way. SAPD Officers and Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) responded to the scene where they discovered the collision involved a motorcycle and a vehicle. Despite lifesaving measures by a civilian who administered CPR and OCFA, the motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The lone male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Based on the preliminary investigation, the motorcycle was traveling north on Bristol St. approaching Hemlock Way. The vehicle was traveling south on Bristol St. making a left turn onto Hemlock Way. The motorcycle collided with the vehicle, making a left turn. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
 
The Orange County Coroner’s Office identified the decedent as Tom Nunez Guadarrama (23) of Santa Ana.
