OC Health Care Agency Presents Food Safety Seminar for Orange County Restaurants
(Santa Ana, CA) – The OC Health Care Agency (HCA), in partnership with Chairman Andrew Do and Supervisor Michelle Steel of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, will be hosting a Food Safety Seminar on October 10th in the City of Fountain Valley.
“We’re excited to help bring Orange County restaurant owners and managers together with representatives from HCA’s Environmental Health division to participate in this educational event,” said Chairman Do, who represents the First District including parts of the City of Fountain Valley. “This unique, in-person approach continues to strengthen ongoing dialogue between the County of Orange and our business community with the shared goal of protecting the health and well-being of dining patrons.”
The seminar will take place at Mile Square Park’s Freedom Hall at 16801 Euclid Street, Fountain Valley, CA 92708 on Wednesday October 10, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
“This seminar will provide an opportunity for our local restaurant professionals to learn more about acceptable food safety and sanitation practices,” said Supervisor Steel, who represents the Second District which also includes the City of Fountain Valley. “We are working to ensure the safety of the public by providing our food establishments with the information and resources they need to provide quality service to both residents and visitors of Orange County.”
Topics to be discussed include: preventing major food safety violations, specialized food processes, causes for the health department to close a food business, understanding food donations, requirements for selling or serving liquor, and a question-and-answer session. Translated materials will be available in Spanish, Korean, and Vietnamese upon request.

La Agencia de Cuidado de la Salud del Condado de Orange (OC Health Care Agency) Presenta un Seminario en Seguridad Alimentaria para los Restaurantes del Condado de Orange
(Santa Ana, CA) – La Agencia de Cuidado de la Salud del Condado de Orange (OC Health Care Agency, HCA), en asociación con Andrew Do y Michelle Steel, el presidente y la supervisora del Consejo de Supervisores del Condado de Orange, respectivamente, serán los anfitriones de un Seminario en Seguridad Alimentaria que se llevará a cabo el 10 de octubre en la ciudad de Fountain Valley.

“Este seminario otorgará la oportunidad única a nuestros restauranteros profesionales locales de aprender más sobre las prácticas aceptables de seguridad y del saneamiento alimentario”, señaló la Supervisora Steel, quien representa al Segundo Distrito, el cual incluye a la ciudad de Fountain Valley. “Estamos trabajando para asegurar la seguridad del público al proporcionar a nuestros establecimientos alimentarios la información y los recursos que necesitan para proveer servicio de calidad, tanto a residentes como a visitantes del Condado de Orange.”
Los temas por discutir incluyen: la prevención de violaciones graves de seguridad alimentaria, los procesos de comida especializada, las causas por las que el departamento de salud cierra un establecimiento de alimentos, el entendimiento sobre los donativos de alimentos, los requisitos para vender o servir licor y una sesión de preguntas y respuestas.
