Two men, from Santa Ana and Garden Grove, and a 17-year-old boy from Westminster were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of committing two robberies minutes apart in Westminster, according to the O.C. Register.

The Westminster police responded at 6:30 p.m. to a report about a robbery in the 9800 block of Bolsa Avenue. A woman was allegedly robbed by three suspects, one of whom was armed with a gun. They took her purse.

Even as the police were investigating that robbery, the brazen trio committed another robbery, at the 14700 block of Bowling Green Street, where they reportedly hit a man on the head and took his property.

After the second robbery, the trio was allegedly in a vehicle that the police tried to pull over at Brookhurst Street and Hazard Ave. The suspects sped off triggering a high-speed chase that terminated at the 5200 block of Lehnhart Avenue in Santa Ana.

Two of the suspects surrendered but one of them ran into a home and hid in the living room until an SAPD K-9 dog was sent into the home and bit him. That suspect ended up at a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police found stolen items from both robberies at the scene.

Anthony Huy Dang, 19, of Garden Grove, Johnathan Christian Villasenor, 18, of Santa Ana and the teen, who is from Westminster, were all arrested on suspicion of robbery, felony evasion and resisting arrest.

The Westminster Police Department requests that anyone with information on the robberies contact them at 714-548-3212 or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.
