IRVINE – Farmer “Santa” Claus is looking rather healthy, happy and hip now that he’s taken up a healthier lifestyle by eating more fruits and vegetables, growing his own produce and happily working alongside Mrs. Claus every day on the North Pole. Mrs. Claus is also quite trim since she’s put aside baking cookies for a more active role meeting children and working alongside Santa.

Farmer Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Great Park Farmers Market on Sunday, December 12th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. giving out healthy fruits and treats from Great Park Farmers Market vendors to children and their families.

“We were very happy to find that Santa is eating more fruits and vegetables and growing some of his own in the very challenging North Pole environment” said Jeff Rowe, manager of the Great Park Farmers Market. “And we think it will be a memorable day for children, all of whom will be given some fruit or veggies from farmers at the market.”

The Great Park Farmers Market is open every Sunday, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located off of the 5 or 405 freeways at Sand Canyon and Marine Way in Irvine.
