HealthCare Partners Opens New Medical Office and Urgent Care Center on South Harbor Boulevard

New Urgent Care Center Will Be One of Santa Ana’s Largest

SANTA ANA, Calif. (March 16, 2015) — HealthCare Partners Medical Group, one of the leading medical groups in Southern California, will soon open its Harbor Medical Office and Harbor Urgent Care Center (UCC). The new office, slated to open March 17, and UCC, slated to open March 21, will be located at 3501 South Harbor Blvd. in Santa Ana.

HealthCare Partners’ current Fountain Valley UCC, which is located at 9330 Talbert Ave., will close when the new, larger facility, one of the largest in Orange County, opens nearby.

“We are quickly outgrowing our current facility and have built the largest urgent care center in the community to better meet patient needs,” said Derek Chao, MD, HealthCare Partners medical director for the Coastal Region “The Harbor Medical Office and UCC feature more exam rooms to shorten wait times, and patients will also enjoy ample parking at our new location.”

The new UCC, which will treat patients on a walk-in basis, will serve those with non-life threatening medical problems such as minor cuts, broken bones, earaches, skin rashes, sprains, colds, and fevers. The facility will also feature two procedure rooms, 10 exam rooms, and four 12-hour observation rooms. On-site imaging (X-ray) and laboratory services will also improve the efficiency and access to patient care.

Urgent care centers typically offer shorter wait times than hospital emergency rooms and may require lower co-payments from insurers.
