Irvine package theft suspect arrested
Irvine package theft suspect arrested

Last month, the Irvine Police Department shared a Wanted Wednesday post on their Facebook page and asked for your help identifying a suspected package theft suspect.

Once again, Irvine’s incredible community helped identify the suspect as an Irvine resident!

When the police detectives identified her, they discovered she was possibly involved in other mail thefts and fraudulent activity.

Yesterday, the detectives served a search warrant at the suspect’s house and found Gina Lynn Valverde, 43, hiding in her garage.

Valverde was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail on fraud charges.

The Irvine Police Department thanks the community for their continued partnership in these cases.

Original post, July 24, 2024: #WANTEDWEDNESDAY – This woman is suspected of stealing a package from a Woodbridge doorstep on July 10. We believe she may be responsible for other thefts. Her bag appears to say, “Here are a few of my favorite things.” Unfortunately, the things in her bag belong to other people.
