May Day Coalition is organizing a Flash Mob today at 4 pm, to march through Downtown Santa Ana in protest of “being uprooted.”  They are meeting at El Centro Cultural de Mexico, located at 310 5th Street, in Santa Ana.

Here is what they posted today on Facebook:

CALLING ALL SANTA-NEROS!! “ALL OUT FOR THE TOWN, BEING UPROOTED IS NOT AN OPTION” Community and artist procession and flash-mob through DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA TODAY….street theater, music, spoken word, and unity addressing gentrification- – – meet at Centro at 4:00pm (310 5th Street Santa Ana 92701) bring water, noise makers, mobile art, friends, family and corazon….PLEASE RE-POST…LA CUATRO Y EL CENTRO DE SANTA ANA QUE SEA PARA TOD@S, NO SOLO POCOS!!…. ;D

This group appears to be in support of Santa Ana Mayor Pro Tem and her allies, who are opposing the Chase Family’s anti-Latino actions on the “East End” and elsewhere in Santa Ana.
