In 2021, the Irvine Police Department began investigating a case where an employee used a personal Square account to accept patient payments at a doctor’s office, resulting in a loss of $66,000.

Yesterday, Maria Guadalupe Robles, 42, of Anaheim, was arrested and booked on multiple charges, including grand theft, fraud and identity theft.
