WESTMINSTER, Calif. – On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 10:22 PM, officers responded to a report of a traffic collision in the area of Bolsa Chica Road and Los Aliso Ranch Road in the City of Westminster.

Once on scene, the police officers located a single vehicle which had collided with a concrete wall. The single occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Orange County Fire Authority.  The victim was identified as Jace A. Remington, a 44-year-old male resident of Los Alamitos.

It is unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol played a role in the cause of the accident. There were no other vehicles involved. 

The Westminster Police Department Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the accident.  Anybody who may have witnessed the accident is asked to call Sergeant Anil Adam of the Westminster Police Department Traffic Division at (714) 548-3770, or Orange County Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP- OCCS or by logging on to www.occrimestoppers.org.  Callers can remain anonymous.

Editor’s Note – a suspect named Jace Remington was arrested ten years ago at the age of 34 on suspicion of possession of 116.5 pounds of narcotics after authorities searched two homes in Huntington Beach and in Fountain Valley. During the search, police found 115 pounds of marijuana, estimated to be worth $1,309,056, and 1.5 pounds of cocaine, estimated to be worth $63,193.

Remington was out on bail after being arrested in June on suspicion of six narcotics-related felonies and driving under the influence.

    1. Sorry for your loss. Those pictures came from the police department. Have you notified them as to these issues? This was also reported in other papers. Have you notified them?
