Last night a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed lost control and crashed into a flood control channel in Huntington Beach.

Fortunately, only minor injuries were reported, according to the Huntington Beach Police Dept.

If a DUI accident is deemed a “negligent” act, you might get coverage from your insurance company. However some insurance companies will argue that driving under the influence is an intentional act. Insurance policies do not cover damage caused by intentional behavior, according to an L.A. DUI attorney.

The Huntington Beach Police Dept. reminds us to buckle up, follow the rules of the road, and don’t drive impaired.
