On Thursday, January 26, 2023, at approximately 2:29 P.M., the Santa Ana Police Department received multiple calls regarding a pedestrian down in traffic lanes at 900 N. Main Street.

Officers from the Santa Ana Police Department responded to the scene, where they located the pedestrian, a male adult, approximately 30 years old in the roadway.

Orange County Fire Authority also responded to the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where medical staff declared the pedestrian deceased.

Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was walking west, crossing Main Street. The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Main Street.

The vehicle involved in this collision remained at the scene, and the driver cooperated. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
