An unidentified man was shot and wounded on New Year’s Day in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.

The shooting happened just before 9 p.m. in a residential neighborhood located at Golden West Avenue near McFadden Avenue.

The victim is expected to survive after getting shot in the shoulder, according to the SAPD.

The SAPD is not sure as to the motive for the shooting. But they did arrest a suspect, whose name was not released to the public.
