The Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8 rental assistance) Waiting List will be open beginning May 2 until May 31, 2022. Questions? Call 714-667-2284.

  • California Mortgage Relief Program – Mortgage relief funds are available from the State of California to homeowners who have fallen behind on their housing payments due to the pandemic. Apply now.
  • My First Home Program – Down payment assistance of up to $120,000 is available for low- to moderate-income first-time homebuyers in Santa Ana. Apply now.
    New Affordable Housing Opportunities – Legacy Square apartments are under construction and will provide 93 affordable units. The First Point apartments are under construction and will offer 552 affordable units. Sign up for the interest lists now.
  • Residential Rehabilitation Grant Program – Grants of up to $25,000 are available for low- to moderate-income homeowners (including single-family and mobile homes) to address municipal code violations and repair, replace, and/or install major systems in the home. Applications will be accepted starting July 1, 2022.
  • Renter Protections – The City’s new Rent Stabilization Ordinance limits residential rent increases to the lower of 3% or 80% of the Consumer Price Index per year. The new Just Cause Eviction Ordinance limits the allowed reasons for which a renter can be evicted.
