On Saturday, April 1 at about 3:30 p.m. SAPD police officers responded to the area of 500 East Pine regarding a shooting that had just occurred, according to SAPD Case #  17-08711.

Further investigation revealed a group in a vehicle got into an argument with a group of pedestrians and a shooting occurred were two males were struck.

The victims were taking to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

This shooting happened a few blocks southeast of the DTSA East End Promenade, in Santa Ana’s Ward 2, which is represented by Mayor Pro Tem Michele Martinez.

On Saturday night, April 1 at about 9:30 p.m., witnesses reported an occupied vehicle got into an argument with some pedestrians and a shooting occurred at 800 South Townsend, in Santa Ana. A stray bullet struck a female adult that was in her kitchen of her apartment, according to SAPD Case # 17-08744.

She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

This shooting happened just northeast of Jerome Park in Santa Ana’s Ward 4, which is represented by Councilman David Benavides.
