Today at 2:50 PM the Westminster Police Department received a 911 call saying a student saw an unidentified male in the parking lot with a gun. Police officers arrived quickly and secured a perimeter around both schools searching for the described suspect.

At this time the Westminster Police Department has had no reports of any injuries or any firearms being used.

The schools in the area were placed on lockdown. A total of 17 police officers arrived at the scene and were doing a systematic search of the area to ensure everyone’s safety.

School administrations have been contacted and will be issuing an alert to students parents via email/sms.
