Today, Michelle Steel, Chairwoman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors along with her colleagues on the board, accepted generous donations of personal protective equipment from the Korean American community of California, delivered by South Korean Consul General Wan Joong Kim, and three local non-profit organizations: the TOC Foundation, the Elegant Culture and Tradition Center, and the Chinese American CPA Association. These donations will go to the Orange County Health Care Agency for use by county health care workers and first responders.
The following donations were made:
- South Korean Los Angeles Consulate: 2,000 KN95 masks
- TOC Foundation: 5000 EXANOVO disposable face masks, 250 face masks from various brands, 657 N95/P95/KN95/KF94 respirators, 250 Nitrile gloves and 3 bottles of 705 Alcohol
- Elegant Culture & Tradition Center: 6000 face masks, 100 medical coveralls, 60 face shells, 60 safety goggles, 60 shoe covers
- Chinese American CPA Association: 3,100 disposable masks, 29,000 surgical gloves
