The Orange Police arrested an armed wanted probationer on gun and drug charges

A patrol officer stopped a car in the area of Garden Grove Blvd and Lewis St. Prior to yielding, the suspect tossed a 9mm handgun from the passenger side window, according to the Orange Police Department.

The driver, who was already on probation, had felony warrants and was in possession of a ballistic vest, xanax pills, and methamphetamine.

The officers went back to the suspect’s local motel room to conduct a further search. Inside his room, officers located over one pound of methamphetamine, more than half a pound of fentanyl, and 50 grams of heroin. They also located several hundred rounds of ammunition.

The driver was booked at Orange County Jail for various felony gun and drug charges.
