SANTA ANA – Each year, the City of Santa Ana receives federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CDBG funds may be used for a wide variety of housing, community, and economic development activities. HOME funds may be used to develop and preserve affordable housing. ESG funds may be used to assist individuals and families quickly regain stability in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis or homelessness.

In order to continue receiving CDBG, HOME and ESG funds, the City of Santa Ana must prepare a Five-Year Consolidated Plan document that assesses community needs and outlines strategies to address those needs during program years 2020-2025.

To accurately determine community needs and to inform local strategies, the City is asking Santa Ana residents and stakeholders to provide their input by completing a survey for the CDBG, HOME, and ESG programs and/or by attending a community meeting.
