State Senator Lou Correa is hosting an information townhall meeting this Friday, Oct. 16, about Veterans Issues, at the Rancho Santiago Community College District’s Building Boardroom located at 2323 N. Broadway in Santa Ana.
Participating offices and organizations include the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Orange County Veterans Services Office, Veterans First, Orange County Community Services Agency, Orange County Health Care Agency, Disabled American Veterans, Orange County Veterans Court, California Employment Development Department and California Small Business Development Center.

Senator Lou Correa Announces Informational Townhall on Veterans Issues
(Santa Ana) – State Senator Lou Correa, Vice Chair of Senate Veterans Affairs Committee, in partnership with Bobby McDonald, Chair of Veterans Affairs Committee for California Community College Board of Governors, will hold an informational townhall meeting from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday, October 16 at the Rancho Santiago Community College District Building Boardroom located at 2323 N. Broadway in Santa Ana.
The townhall meeting will address three issues: 1) Educational services, 2) Quality of Life, including but medical, social, mental health, housing and other programs, and 3) Workforce development. Panelists and guests will provide information specifically on the post 9/11 GI Bill, educational support programs in higher education institutions, mental and social services available to all veterans, and unemployment, employment services and small business development for veterans.
“The more we know about the needs and concerns of our Veterans, the better we are able to address those needs now and in the future,” said Senator Correa.
“Veteran’s and education have always been at the forefront of our country’s fabric,” said an exuberant Bobby McDonald. “It is a pleasure to participate with Sen. Lou Correa to explore veterans opportunities and to connect the dots for our Orange County and Southern California Veterans with this Town Hall” added McDonald.
