Sebastian Mardoqueo Vicente Alvarez, a 31-year-old Santa Ana man accused of kidnapping, torturing and raping a woman last November pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to felony charges, according to NBC.

Alvarez was charged by the OCDA with rape, sexual penetration by foreign object, torture and kidnapping to commit rape, along with a misdemeanor count of false imprisonment.

The victim was allegedly picked up by Alvarez at Hazard Avenue and Bewley Street at about 3:20 a.m. on Nov. 17 and he then drove her to the 5000 block of 17th Street, where he reportedly raped, gagged and choked her, according to the SAPD.

Police investigators found Alvarez because of a DNA match. The victim later identified him in a lineup as her alleged attacker. His car was also caught in the area on local surveillance video.

Alvarez was located on Saturday by an SAPD police officer who arrested him on a warrant charging him with the vicious attack.

Alvarez will face a pretrial hearing on April 12, at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
