Subject: Man Arrested for Possession of Stolen iPads

Irvine, CA – The Irvine Police Department arrested a man for possession of iPads stolen from an elementary school. The suspect is identified as Khaleeq Forbes, 24, of Santa Ana.

On June 14, 2016, an Irvine officer was patrolling a parking structure on Spectrum Center Drive and observed two subjects sitting in a parked vehicle with the strong odor of marijuana emitting from the car. Forbes was on probation and a search of the vehicle was conducted.

Inside the vehicle, the suspect was in possession of marijuana and an iPad, which was determined to have be stolen from an elementary school in Tustin approximately two years ago. Additional IPD officers responded to a residence associated with the suspect in Tustin and located two additional iPads, which were confirmed stolen from the elementary school.

Forbes was arrested without incident.
