Drive your career forward the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Bus Operator Academy at Saddleback College. A free Bus Driver Training course at Saddleback College will help you develop the skills needed for a life-long career in transportation. Did you know that 80% of OCTA’s bus operations management team started as drivers?

Training Includes:

  • Safety and driving procedures
  • Pre-trip inspection
  • Commercial permit preparation, and more!

Qualified participants who complete the training are guaranteed an interview as an OCTA bus driver.
Starting pay during training is $22.37 per hour. Following training, pay will increase to $23.35.

  • Eligible for a raise every 6 months
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Paid leave, retirement, and educational reimbursement

Participants do not need to be enrolled at Saddleback College to attend. Seats are limited.
