Everest College – Santa Ana Announces New Business and Criminal Justice Programs

Programs Prepare Students for Job Market

SANTA ANA, CALIF. – January 11, 2013 — Everest College – Santa Ana today announced it will add Business Office Administration, Business Sales and Customer Service, Criminal Justice – Social and Youth Services, and Criminal Justice – Private and Homeland Security programs to its course offerings next week.

The nine-month diploma programs will give prospective students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and technical skillsets required for entry-level business and criminal justice jobs.

“The job market is highly competitive, and these programs provide students with an education that will help set them apart from their peers,” said Lisa Rhodes, president of Everest College – Santa Ana. “Business and criminal justice jobs offer great prospects, and now our students will have gained expertise to prepare themselves for careers in these fields.”

The Business Office Administration and Business Sales and Customer Service programs educate students in basic computer applications, introduction to business and business writing and business communications. Students will learn organization and communication skills, sales techniques, as well as train in customer relations and servicing.

The Criminal Justice – Social and Youth Services program educates students in judicial concepts, law and crime with a focus on juvenile justice and victims advocacy. Students will have the opportunity to prepare for careers that provide basic support in the criminal justice job market. Career titles may include youth mentor, youth care worker, youth mentor, intake specialist and outreach specialist.

The Criminal Justice–Private and Homeland Security program educates students in security and law. Special emphasis is placed on oral and written communications, in addition to training in criminal investigation, private security and terrorism.
