If you are looking for a safe place to take young children to trick-or-treat for Halloween, try the Boo at the Zoo event at the Santa Ana Zoo taking place on October 21, 22, 28, and 29. Tickets must be purchased in advance at https://www.santaanazoo.org/boo.htm.

Boo at the Zoo is one of the safest places for young children to trick-or-treat for Halloween taking home goodies from 10 toys/treats stations. It’s a “Merry not Scary” family fun event, and everyone (young and young at heart) is encouraged to come in costume!

The exciting “Boofari” Express Train, Conservation Carrousel, and Fifty Monkey Ferris Wheel rides will be entertaining little ghouls and goblins all night long. Parents, don’t forget your cameras! Boo at the Zoo provides great photo opportunities that will last a lifetime. Mark your calendars now for this 4-night event.

  • ADMISSIONS must be purchased ONLINE on this page. All admissions should be purchased in advance. If there are still admissions available on the day of the event, you may purchase admissions at the gate on your phone by going ONLINE to this webpage.
  • NO REFUNDS. Boo at the Zoo is a fundraiser and the funds generated this year go to help the primate habitats!**

  • Boo at the Zoo is a family event and costumes should be child-friendly, and may not be obtrusive, offensive, or violent.
