Cantera has announced, via an email newsletter, that they are going to be going out of business at the end of the month.
Cantera is in the Santa Ana Artists Village, at 211 N. Broadway, in the historic Santora building. They have wonderful artwork and furniture – much of it from Mexico. One of their woodcarvers is in fact going back to Mexico and his furniture is currently on sale at great prices.
This is a sad occasion to note here – and Cantera may be the first of many of Santa Ana’s art galleries to close, at the Santora, where a number of artists are behind on their rent, to building owner Mike Harrah.
Here is Cantera’s announcement:
After 5+ wonderful years in the Santa Ana Artists Village will be closing our doors at the end of January.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved with Cantera over the years. To our loyal customers, talented artists, devoted followers, supportive family and friends – THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! This wonderful journey would not have been possible without all of you.
