CalOptima Health is making sure members don’t go hungry this Thanksgiving. Registered members will receive their choice of a turkey or ham, along with traditional side dish items, on Saturday, November 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CalOptima Health headquarters in Orange.

Non-members attending will receive free food boxes provided by a local food pantry, while supplies last.

More than 1,000 members are expected to attend.

CalOptima Health is proud to partner with community organizations to support Medi-Cal members’ broader needs, so in addition to the food distribution, members will have the opportunity to connect with various CalOptima Health departments to learn more about our Medi-Cal programs and supportive services.

The County of Orange Social Services Agency will also be on-site to assist with Medi-Cal and CalFresh enrollment, 211OC will be available to connect members with community resources, and Mercy Health will provide on-site vaccinations.

WHY: This second annual food distribution event reflects CalOptima Health’s firm belief that food is health and its ongoing commitment to the well-being of members and their families. Furthermore, food insecurity was a significant issue this month due to delayed CalFresh benefits.

WHEN: Saturday, November 22, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.

WHERE: 500 City Parkway West, Orange, CA 92868
